The park is on a 650-acre farm, where children can enjoy seeing the home-bred herd of cows, calves, sheep, and chickens. Moreover, the site is in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coast and has The Dark Skies Status.

Food

Beacon Cottage Farm Touring Park provides self-catering accommodation for its guests in the cottages. However, you don’t need to worry about cooking all your meals, as the park welcomes local businesses to bring you their delicious food and drinks. You can enjoy mouth-watering local fish and chips from the Fish and Chip Van or have a pizza from a wood-fired oven. All the food is freshly prepared on-site to order.

If you are a coffee enthusiast, you will love the coffee van that sells delicious coffee, bread, and pastries. The local butcher also appears to sell fresh meats and cheeses. You can stock up on local produce and relish it in the comfort of your accommodation.

Camping and touring

The campsite features 60 pitches spread across six small, level paddocks, each around 4 acres in size. Electric hookup is available. Two paddocks offer stunning sea and coastal views, while the others have trees and shrubs for added shelter.

The facilities are in bran conversions near the farmhouse, with the camping areas branching off from a central yard. The pitches are conveniently situated close to the facilities and include a freezer pack service. The washrooms, showers, and toilets are spacious and well-maintained, and hot water is always available at all sinks and showers. Additional amenities include baby baths, hair dryers, shaving sockets, and baby changing facilities. Families with young children can access dedicated shower rooms equipped with a shower, toilet, wash basin, and baby changing station.

Laundry and dishwashing facilities feature automatic washing machines, spin dryers, tumble dryers, separate sinks for clothes and dishes, and an iron and ironing board. Hot water is at all sinks for clothes and dishwashing.

Cottages

The two stone holiday cottages are self-catering, built and equipped to a high standard. Both cottages can accommodate up to four people. Private parking is available, and each cottage is accessible through its secure garden, including picnic tables and garden benches, making it ideal for children.

Each cottage has full central heating, including radiators in every room. Additionally, both cottages have a wood burner that provides extra warmth and cosiness during winter. The bathrooms in both cottages are tastefully tiled and fitted with a bath, power shower, heated towel rail, toilet, and washbasin.

Both cottages have double and twin bedrooms, with all bed linen provided, and the beds are ready for your arrival. Cots and high chairs are also available in each cottage. The kitchen in each cottage is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, and a washer-dryer.

The lounge areas are cosy and comfortably furnished, and there is plenty to entertain the kids as each cottage features a TV, DVD player, music centre, and traditional inglenook fireplaces. Both cottages offer free WiFi, perfect for tech-savvy kids.

Croft Cottage has bedrooms upstairs. The double bedroom has an ensuite toilet and washbasin, while the twin bedroom has a washbasin. Bramble Cottage is a single-storey accommodation, making it suitable for individuals with restricted mobility.

St. Agnes is a charming village in a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage Site on the North Cornish Coast. It is the ideal destination if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views. The village boasts local shops, pubs, and restaurants that offer a warm Cornish welcome. You’ll find butchers, bakers, greengrocers, two small supermarkets, and delightful craft shops. With a significant mining heritage, St. Agnes is home to the UK’s final tin production centre at Blue Hills Tin Streams, a must-see attraction. The St. Agnes Museum also provides a captivating insight into the area’s diverse history, myths, and legends.

Four beaches are near the site, including Chapel Porth, owned by The National Trust and the nearest beach. It’s just a 10-minute walk along the Southwest Coast Path. The beach is perfect for swimming and surfing and features charming shallow rock pools for children to enjoy. You’ll also find an excellent cafĂ© offering freshly made baguettes, cakes, drinks, and the famous ‘Hedgehog’ ice creams. Alternatively, Trevellas Porth is a lovely beach slightly secluded from the main path and home to the Blue Hills Tin Streams.

Trevaunance Cove is another beautiful spot for kids to try surfing, as lessons are available. It’s also ideal for having a dip in the stunning sea and relaxing on the beach, served by two cafes and a pub. Porthtowan is also a lovely spot, ideal for bathing and surfing before enjoying a meal at the restaurant on the beach.
