Overview

Nestled amidst over 400 cows, the speciality dairy farm promises a fun-filled getaway for families with its dreamy canvas hideaways. Located on the edge of the farm, the hideaways offer a mesmerising view of a meadow and acres of space for children to frolic around. The charming villages, rugged cliffs, and stunning beaches of Cornwall make it an ideal location for an enjoyable holiday experience.

Activities

There is plenty of space on the farm for children to play, and you can still keep an eye on them from the comfort of your veranda. One hot tub is available to hire if you fancy indulging in a relaxing soak. Make friends with the adorable farm animals – from chickens, to cows, to sheep.

A Feather Down Farms holiday is an off-grid adventure as our farms do not have electricity or Wi-Fi. Disconnect from gadgets and devices, create lasting memories cooking on a log-burning stove, and experience the enchantment of reading bedtime stories by oil lamp. There is always something happening at the Farm – take a glimpse into the daily life of the farmer and watch the cows being milked. In addition to dairy farming, they also cultivate barley on approximately 60 acres for animal feed and bedding. If you visit in springtime, you will have the opportunity to bottle-feed lambs born on the farm or meet the sheep that graze here year-round.

And if the kids need to run off steam there is an outdoor playground to wear them out. Plus there are lots of little mini tractors and diggers around the grass areas to keep them busy.

Food

Each tent has a fully equipped kitchen, stove-top for cooking, and a sink for running water. The on-site honesty shop offers locally produced treats and seasonal goodies for visitors to stock up on. The family dinner table inside and extra seating outside offer ample space for families to dine together.

Communal pizza ovens allow visitors to fire up an Italian feast, while on a lazy day, they can grab some delicious food supplies from the on-site shop for a tasty stew. End the day with toasted marshmallows and stories shared over a campfire. Alternatively, visitors can take a break from cooking and head off-site to enjoy some delicious local cuisine. The Hayloft, serves a selection of food and drink and is just a 5 minute drive from the site.
