The property is also located near National Trust properties and has beautiful gardens, perfect for a slow day out. The kitchen island is perfect for quick meals, and the dining room features a solid wood table that comfortably seats 12 guests. During warmer months, guests can enjoy meals on the sunny terrace with outdoor dining furniture, a gas barbecue, a pizza oven, and a fire pit.

To make their stay more convenient, guests can order a supermarket delivery to arrive at the same time as their check-in. Alternatively, they can purchase supplies from nearby Morrisons, Lidl, or Tesco in Malton, only a 20-minute drive away. Sherburn’s general store is even closer for small essential items. Accommodation

This historical property was formerly a granary, but now it is a beautifully decorated space with plenty of character and a welcoming feel. The original timber beams and vaulted ceilings add to the place’s charm. As guests enter the communal areas, they will find a large kitchen with a breakfast bar, a separate dining room, and a living room with two seating areas. The living room is ideal for kids to play and have fun while still being within ear and eyeshot of their parents. Despite the age of the building, the large windows and French doors let in plenty of natural light, making the rooms bright and airy. The wood-burning stove adds to the cosy atmosphere and is perfect for colder days. The outdoor areas are fabulous, including a west-facing patio, a landscaped garden, and two hot tubs, ideal for relaxing under the stars.

Upstairs, six immaculate bedrooms can accommodate up to 14 guests. The bedrooms are divided into three areas, accessible from different staircases, allowing families to have private space. The six bedrooms consist of two twin rooms, three king-size doubles, and a family room with two king bedrooms in one large room. The family room has its ensuite shower room accessed via an external staircase. Two contemporary bathrooms offer a second shower and a bath with an overhead shower, making it great for maintaining bed and bath routines. Travel cots and highchairs are available upon request for guests travelling with little ones. Fluffy towels, including extras for the hot tub, and crisp bed linens are provided in every room.

Westfield Granary is an excellent location for lots of activities in North Yorkshire. They highly recommended a day trip to the North Yorkshire Waterpark at Wykeham Lakes, which offers a variety of exciting activities like S.U.P., kayaking, ziplining and an inflatable assault course. The park also has an on-site cafe located just seven miles away.

For those who don’t mind driving a little further, Robin Hood’s Bay is a picturesque location for a swim or exploring rock pools. The town is full of lovely cafes and shops to explore as well.

Another nearby attraction is the Howardian Hills Area of Natural Beauty, which can be accessed by driving just beyond Malton. The heavily forested landscape has picturesque villages and plenty of child-friendly hiking routes.

The Scarborough Sea Life Centre offers a fun indoor activity for all ages in case of rain.
