Overview

Norden House is a significant self-catering holiday let situated on the Norden Farm estate. It overlooks the ruins of nearby Corfe Castle and offers spacious, contemporary, yet traditional living areas.

Activities

The farm has a bunch of friendly animals to meet, including pigs, goats, calves, birds, and even peacocks! Plus, there are two fantastic play areas for both toddlers and older kids to enjoy.

As a guest at Norden, you’ll have exclusive access to the fishing pond. Located just behind the facilities block in the Pond Field, this pond is home to various fish, including carp, rudd, tench, and bream. So, grab your fishing gear and get ready for a reel good time!

But that’s not all! Saturday nights during the summer holidays are extra special, with live music on-site. So, head down to the camping fields, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy some tunes under the stars. Norden Farm is the perfect place to create unforgettable memories with your loved ones!

Food

The kitchen is large, modern and fully equipped. It has a sizeable dual-fuel cooker with a double oven and grill, integral oven and microwave, dishwasher, American-style fridge freezer, coffee machine, wine cooler and bar-style island. The Farmhouse is right opposite the Farm Shop at Norden Farm, so if you need to stock up, there’s a great selection of fresh local produce.

If you’re having a big family gathering, Norden Farm has partnered with ‘My Event Concierge’, which can provide private chefs, mixologists, and murder mystery evenings.

Accommodation

Norden House is ideal for families and large groups looking to spend quality time in a beautiful setting. Norden House has two spacious lounge areas divided by French doors. The dining room can comfortably seat fourteen diners. It is a spacious, light room with an upright piano, original window shutters, wooden floor and fireplace.

Upstairs are six bedrooms (four doubles and two twins). All are a generous size with T.V.s and en-suite bathrooms. There is also a separate bathroom and W.C.

Downstairs, there is one double bedroom with an en-suite wet room, which is especially helpful for less mobile people.

Cots and high chairs are available by prior arrangement.

Norden House has an all-weather pavilion in the garden that can comfortably seat twenty people. With Purbeck stone, polished marble, and timber surrounding, the structure provides the perfect shelter for barbeque in any weather or a cosy evening around the fire pit.

There is also plenty of comfortable seating on the patio to enjoy the views of Corfe Castle and the surrounding countryside.

Nearby

There are numerous cycling and walking routes directly from the site, and campers are granted access to the top of the Purbeck Ridgeway, where they can enjoy panoramic views of Poole Harbour and the Isle of Purbeck.

Norden is ideally situated for local transport, with two bus stops at the site entrance and the steam train to Swanage just a five-minute walk away. This makes Norden Farm the ideal base for exploring the wonderful Isle of Purbeck.

The site is within one mile of the world-famous Corfe Castle, and the ancient market town of Wareham is only 3.5 miles away. Studland Bay and the Seaside town of Swanage can be reached in 15 minutes by car.

A footpath leads from Norden Farm directly to the village of Corfe Castle. You will find four pubs, several shops, and the village bakery. Of course, you can also visit the castle ruins, now owned by the National Trust, alongside their gift shop and tea rooms.
