The Running Fox Bakery is a local company which specialises in selling exquisite afternoon teas. While they don’t deliver, their cafe in Felton (nine miles away and just off A1) allows customers to order online before collecting to take back to Burnfoot.
There is also the option to take advantage of the honesty box where In summer months one of the neighbouring farms provides delicious farm produce. It would also be worth checking out the numerous farmers markets across the region throughout the year.

Whilst Sugar Sands beach is a great spot for swimming, it is situated near the North Sea and, therefore, has very cold waters. Outside of the summer months, Rothbury provides the closest indoor pool which can be reached within five to ten minutes.
For those who love exploring nature on foot, Burnfoot’s public footpath leads directly into the National Park.
