Explore the Cornish coast with ease as the South West Coastal Path is just 20 minutes away. The South West Coast Path is the UK’s longest and most popular National Trail attracting hikers from all over the world.

Families can enjoy a day at the beach with Hayle, Porthleven, and Praa Sands, all within an easy 30-minute drive away.

Food

The pods have a well-equipped kitchenette and guests can easily stock up on supplies as a couple of supermarkets in Helston are only 15 minutes away. These include Lidl, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s. The Star Inn at Porkellis is the closest pub for a good evening meal, and is only five minutes away. The pub is dog and family-friendly.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers four Ensuite Deluxe Wigwam Pods, each suitable for up to four guests. These cosy Wigwam pods come equipped with a double bed and a double sofa bed, with bedding and towels for two people. A well-equipped kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, kettle, and hob is provided, along with a small dining area and a TV. The ensuite bathroom comprises a shower, toilet, and sink.

Furthermore, there are two Ensuite Deluxe Wigwam Pods with Hot Tubs that can also accommodate up to four people. These deluxe Wigwam pods have a double bed and a sofa bed, with linen provided for two people. The kitchenette is well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and hob. The ensuite bathroom includes a toilet, shower, and sink. Outside the pod, guests can enjoy their wood-fired hot tub and seating.

In addition to the miles of beaches and stunning cliff coastline on the South West Coastal path, there is much to explore including Flambards Theme Park. The perfect family day out in Cornwall with many rides to suit all from thrill seekers to those preferring a gentler pace. Even on rainy days, visitors can enjoy immersive indoor attractions, including a life-size Victorian village and Britain in the Blitz exhibit.

Or how about the Cornish Seal Sanctuary? This charity rescues and rehabilitates grey seal pups around the Cornish coastline. Each year, the Sanctuary rehabilitates over 70 seal pups rescued for various reasons, from malnourishment to separation from their mum. Families can visit the Sanctuary to experience wonderful marine animals up close and learn about their characters.

There is also Penrose Estate where families can immerse themselves in the woodland surrounding Cornwall’s largest natural lake. Penrose features a stretch of coastline, open parkland, and plenty of trails ideal for walking, running, and cycling.

At the King Edward Mine Museum, visitors can step back to discover the tin mining history in Cornwall. From here, access is available to the Great Flat Lode Trail, over seven miles that encircles Carn Brea, the hill overlooking the former industrial towns of Redruth and Camborne.

Tehidy Woods offers a scenic country park where children can enjoy over nine miles of walking and cycling trails, local wildlife, open-air theatre productions, and an onsite cafe and picnic area.

Cross the granite causeway between mid and low tide to reach St Michael’s Mount. A rocky island crowned by a medieval church and castle off the coast of Marazion.

Helford is an area of outstanding natural beauty due to its microclimate. Families can visit the Helford Passage Beach, Trebah, Glendurgan Gardens, and The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary.
