Overview

Glynn Barton is a magical holiday destination set in 13 acres of forest and surrounded by hundreds of acres of woodlands, making it perfect for families with children. It is centrally located and provides easy access to both coastlines and many of Cornwall’s top attractions, such as the Eden Project. With plenty of things to do on-site and in the surrounding area, guests often find it difficult to leave, which is why many return year after year! The Glynn Barton is run by James, Pippa, Freddie, and Max, who are dedicated to providing a family-friendly experience.

Activities

Glynn Barton is a fantastic location for families looking for a fun-filled holiday. The property has many amenities that will keep the whole family entertained. You can enjoy swimming in the indoor heated pool, relax in the Jacuzzi hot tub, or let your kids explore the indoor soft play barn. The play barn is filled with toys, books, puzzles, and games such as pool table and table football.

For those who prefer outdoor activities, there is a giant outdoor chess set, a maze to explore, a Wendy house, and a play kitchen. You can enjoy the giant fort with a swing and zip wire, play tennis or football on the mini-pitch, or let your little ones have fun on the swings. And don’t forget feeding the animals.

If you love cooking, Glynn Barton offers a little baker’s box where you can bake delicious treats with your family. You can also make pizzas at Pizza Point, or have a BBQ with a view of the Glynn Valley.

If you want to explore the surroundings, Little Margate Equestrian is just two miles away, where you can go horseback riding. You can also go cycling at Cardinham Woods or join the Young Farmers Club and Family Animal Experiences (charged).

With so much to see and do, Glynn Barton is the perfect destination for a family holiday.

Food

If you’re feeling hungry, you’ll be happy to know that the farm provides guests with plastic crockery, children’s cutlery, and a blender to make fresh smoothies from the blackberries grown on the farm. Breakfast is an important meal of the day, and you can check out the farm’s little shop to see what local suppliers have to offer. And if you’re a fan of ice cream, you can indulge in delicious Treleavens ice cream.

If you’d like to take a break from cooking, the farm offers a variety of options. The little shop has homemade frozen meals from Fee’s Food, such as Thai Green Chicken Curry, Beef Rendang and Kale & Mushroom Lasagne. And if you want to have the ultimate night off, Hannah from Cornwall Private Chef can take care of everything. Alternatively, you can order fresh produce directly from local suppliers through the Cornish Food Box Company, which is easy to use and supports local businesses.
