The journey begins at Froghall Station on the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire, where guests are invited to board THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride for a magical adventure to the North Pole.

An enthusiastic cast will tell the story while passengers sing along with their favourite characters from the beloved film. Guests are welcome to wear their pyjamas, but don’t forget your dressing gowns in case it gets chilly at the North Pole!

Once you board THE POLAR EXPRESS™, the adventure kicks off as hot chocolate and cookies are served at your seats by the singing chefs. Be sure to have your tickets ready, as the Conductor will check them. After finishing his ticket-punching duties, he will return to showcase his impressive dance moves.

For those who believe, there’s a secret on the train—the Hobo is travelling along too! He’ll share his interpretation of Christmas and the spirit of belief, so you may just make a new friend along the way.

Travelling through the Northern Lights is one of the most spectacular moments of the journey, providing a stunning backdrop before arriving at the North Pole. There, Santa eagerly greets all the believers and hands out the first gift of Christmas—a beautiful silver bell from his sleigh.

If you purchased The Polar Express book at the time of booking, Santa may even sign his autograph for you.

When the train returns to Froghall, guests can write a letter to Santa, ensuring they stay on the nice list. The overall experience aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS™ 2024 Train Ride lasts around one hour, but it is recommended to allow one and a half hours to fully enjoy the experience.
