Father Christmas at Gibside Stables

Celebrate the season with loved ones at this immersive Father Christmas experience, where families can enjoy festive cheer and playful antics from clumsy elves as Father Christmas prepares for the big day. While tinkering away, he shares tales of his holiday adventures and checks his nice list, inviting children to join in the fun. Before saying farewell, families can capture their own photos with Father Christmas.

Afterward, the elves guide guests to Father Christmas’s workshop, where children can decorate a Christmas keyring and card to take home as a keepsake.

The full Father Christmas experience lasts approximately 55 minutes, including a 25-minute visit with Father Christmas and 25 minutes crafting in the workshop.

Five relaxed sessions are also available for families more comfortable in a smaller group. These sessions, limited to 22 guests, feature quiet background music and allow children to explore freely.

Tickets are £25 per child, with free entry for accompanying adults. Standard site admission applies for non-National Trust members.

Note: The walk from Visitor Reception to the Stables takes about 30 minutes, with additional time needed for younger children.
