Longdown Activity Farm is an excellent destination for families seeking a fun day out. The daily schedule includes exciting activities like bottle-feeding kid goats and calves, feeding ducks, and meeting friendly farm animals in the Animal Encounter Barn. There are cows, ponies, donkeys, alpacas, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, and many more, perfect for your animal-loving little ones!

Things to do

Longdown Farm provides an interactive experience with friendly animals such as kid goats, calves, ducks, alpacas, Pygmy goats, Kunekune pigs, cows, donkeys, and many more. Visitors can bottle-feed and hand-feed the animals.

There is a brilliant all-inclusive outdoor play area on site which features an accessible swing for wheelchair users. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, the Piglets Play Barn is a large undercover area equipped with several interactive activities and pig-themed fun from floor to ceiling, which the kids will love. There are plenty of other playtime favourites, including the Pitchfork and Putt crazy golf course, trampolines, ride-on toy tractors, go-karts, and diggers. Don’t miss our very popular (and very bumpy!) tractor and trailer rides, which are provided at no extra charge, depending on the ground conditions.

Food & Drink

The tearoom is open every day and serves a variety of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, ice creams, biscuits, and cakes. It’s a perfect place to unwind and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a delicious snack. The tearoom takes pride in sourcing its refreshments locally whenever possible. They also provide a bottle warmer for babies’ bottles or jars of food, which makes it easy for families with young children.

If you’re looking for an outdoor dining experience, there’s a kiosk near the outdoor play area next to the pigs. The kiosk operates seasonally and serves snacks, ice creams, and hot and cold drinks. There are plenty of picnic tables available for you to enjoy an outdoor meal.

Pop into the Longdown Farm Shop before you leave for a large range of delicious locally sourced produce. There’s no charge to visit the Farm Shop which is open to visitors and non-visitors to the Activity Farm.
