You will get to see stunning sets, costumes, props, and much more. Discover the secrets of how special effects and animatronics brought the films to life and contributed to their global success.
But wait, there’s more! The tour has been extended to include Platform 9 ¾ where you can try to make it through the platform wall just like Harry did. And if that’s not enough, you can step onto the famous Diagon Alley, complete with Ollivanders Wand Shop, Flourish and Blotts, the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, and Eeylop’s Owl Emporium.
Prepare to be amazed by the iconic and original props from the films, including Harry’s Nimbus 2000 and the Mirror of Erised. The creature effects exhibit is where the real magic happens. You will uncover the fine details of how everyone’s favourite creatures were brought to life using special effects. Catch sight of a full-size practical Basilisk mouth, created by the Creature Shop, measuring up to 30ft long with jaws 3ft deep, used in the final battle scene.
And let’s not forget about the costumes! Get up close and personal with Ron’s frilly tuxedo from the Yule Ball, along with the original costumes worn by Daniel Radcliffe and his co-stars, including his Quidditch outfit and more.
Don’t forget to grab a free Activity Passport. This passport includes a fun Golden Snitch hunt, puzzles, and trivia to make the tour even more enjoyable. The passport also has space for souvenir stamps that can be collected at significant locations throughout the tour, including Platform 9 ¾ and Gringotts Bank.
Experience the magic of green screen technology by riding a broomstick over London, just like the cast did during filming! Or, for a more grounded approach, step into one of the Hogwarts Express carriages and relive the journey to Hogwarts. Take home a souvenir photograph of the broomstick ride, available in a variety of packages.
Immerse yourself in a world of indulgence and magic at The Chocolate Frog Café. Grab a luxurious hot chocolate, ice cream, or milkshake while relishing the hand-crafted cakes. And if that’s not enough, take a selfie at the Chocolate Frog Card Mirrors.
Beyond the café, you’ll find the Food Hall, where you can savour classic British meals, stone-fired pizzas, pies, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast until 11:30 am. As part of the Studio Tour, The Backlot Café offers breakfast until 11:00 AM, followed by classic burgers and hot dogs. You can choose indoor or outdoor seating and enjoy the views of the exterior sets and props, including the Knight Bus, Privet Drive, and the Hogwarts Bridge. Fans of Butterbeer are in luck as The Backlot Café is the only place in Europe that serves this frothy draught of the magical beverage. So, it’s a must-stop during the tour!
Under the watchful eyes of the Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon in the Studio Tour Hub, the Hub Café serves speciality Starbucks hot and cold drinks and bakery items throughout the day.
