Things to do

Belton House is an exceptional example of Restoration architecture, featuring a world-renowned library and impressive collections of art, silver, and ceramics. The formal gardens at Belton are designed in a combination of Dutch and Italian styles, highlighted by a cast-iron orangery and a stunning fountain. Visitors to the pleasure gardens can enjoy serene lakeside walks. The Belton Estate spans an area of approximately 1,300 acres and is abundant in wildlife. The estate includes an ancient deer park, grazing sheep, ponds, and woodland. Belton is situated in a historical wilderness and arboretum, and offers a large adventure playground and miniature train rides, providing hours of family fun. At Belton’s gift shop, you can purchase garden and homeware, plants, and a National Trust food range. Additionally, a large second-hand bookshop is also available for visitors to explore.
