An unforgettable experience in a breathtaking epic location. The world’s largest conservatories, the biggest rainforest in captivity, fascinating events and exhibits and over a million plants make Eden one of the truly ‘must-see’ places in Britain. At Eden you can take your kids around the world, from the Mediterranean to the rainforest, without leaving the UK. They’ll love the space-age Biomes, weird and wonderful plants, intriguing artworks and inventive play spaces.

Kids of all ages find a day out at Eden fun and thought-provoking. On their Eden adventure, they’ll connect with nature in new and surprising ways, from walking through rainforest clouds to clambering in our massive Minibeast Mansion, and they’ll gain inspiration and practical tips on how to look after our beautiful planet.

New for 2023 is the spectacular natural adventure play area in the Outdoor Gardens, brimming with imaginative, sensory play. Entry to Nature’s Playground is included with admission. Adults do not need to pre-book entry to the Playground, but all children must be accompanied by an adult (maximum of two adults per child/maximum of three children per supervising adult). Water play is a key sensory element of the playground, so it is recommended that you come prepared for your child(ren) to get wet.

It is also worth taking the time to see the Invisible Worlds exhibition which reveals the world beyond our senses: too big, too small, too fast, too slow, too far away in space and time. The exhibition explores how life is shaped by, and shapes, invisible systems. Bringing the invisible into view and exploring the interconnectedness of everything can transform our understanding of the world – and how we interact with it.

In a beautiful and symbolic transformation, we’ve turned what was once a barren landscape into our striking contemporary Outdoor Gardens. Across the vast slopes of the former clay mine, we present cultivated and wild landscapes and explore our dependence on both.

There are over 20 acres of outdoor gardens at Eden and theses are home to over 20 plant-based exhibits, colourful seasonal borders, art installations and play areas. The Wild Edge area displays the world’s temperate lands while the Crops area introduces plants for food, fuels, medicines and materials. There are gardens for play, creativity, fruit, veg, flowers, health and wellbeing. Our growing Climate Garden takes you through 400 million years and explores possible positive futures. Allow 2 hours to see most of the Gardens.
