Are you looking for a thrilling and unique experience? Why not try Velocity, the world’s fastest zip line! This adventure is instructor-led and begins with a small zip line before heading to the top of Penrhyn Quarry Mountain in an ex-army truck for the main event. You’ll fly head-first across the quarry at 100mph alongside up to three other people. Please note that to participate, you must be at least 1.2m tall.

Experience the thrill of mountain karting at Quarry Kart – the only mountain karting track in the UK. Keep your feet close to the ground as you ride on your gravity-fuelled 3-wheeled kart and race down the 3km slate track. Get ready to face the twists, turns, berms and tunnels on the way. The minimum age requirement for this activity is 15 years.

The UK’s largest Aero Explorer zip-coaster hybrid adventure takes you flying along an overhead track at high-speed above a quarry. (Minimum height requirement 1.25m).

The Quarry Flyer is a thrilling mini-zipping adventure that’s perfect for kids and anyone who is trying out adventure activities for the first time. The ride features two parallel lines spread across two zipping zones and provides a breathtaking view of the quarry lake. It’s an experience that you are sure to remember for a lifetime. The minimum height requirement for the ride is 1 metre.

A great opportunity to learn all about the history of this iconic location, it’s a 90-minute trip up to the top of the quarry at 1,500 feet above sea level, taking in stunning views of the Ogwen Valley, Menai Strait, and Snowdonia National Park. If you are 5 years or older, you can take a ride on a red ex-army truck and enjoy a detailed tour of the oldest slate quarry in the world, led by an experienced guide. The quarry was once the world’s largest manmade pit, but now it’s filled with stunning blue water, creating a truly breathtaking spectacle. From the top of the quarry, you can watch the brave zippers take part in Velocity 2, the world’s fastest zip line while keeping your feet safely on solid ground!
