Activities

At West Lexham, visitors are treated to lots of exceptional amenities. Spanning over 22 acres, guests can immerse themselves in the tranquil beauty of rural surroundings, abundant with wildlife, floral displays, and lush foliage. The lawn serves as an idyllic setting for picnics and outdoor games, while the nearby river and dense tree cover offer serene escapades.

This lake, which is fed by a chalk stream, is perfect for all sorts of fun stuff like rowing, paddleboarding, and even wild swimming if you’re up for it. It’s open all year, so no matter the season, you can jump in and enjoy. Feel free to grab a rowing boat for a chill day on the water or try paddleboarding to maybe catch a glimpse of carp hanging out with the wild swans.

There is a lovely outdoor pool that’s all about being eco-friendly. It uses natural stuff to keep it clean and a biomass boiler to heat it up, so you can swim under the sky from April all the way through September. And when night falls, it’s all about chilling by the fire pits, roasting marshmallows, and having a good chat under the stars.

Looking for a chill spot? Check out the Sanctuary Garden across the lake. It’s got this cool magenta pagoda, stone dragons, and peaceful streams that make it perfect for some meditation or yoga. It’s basically the go-to place if you need to relax and find some peace.

Food

Each of the treehouses comes with its own log-burning oven – perfect for cooking up a storm, and yes, you’ve got two shelves and a hob-ring to play with. Plus, there’s a kettle for your morning cuppa, a toaster, a fridge, and all the cutlery, crockery, and glasses you’d need. The Marina Inn there is super chill too – they’ve got outdoor seating where you and your furry friend can hang out, and their cheesy chips and beer are just the thing after a day at the beach.

The White Horse there is something else – it’s right by the marshland, and they’ve got this beautiful conservatory and decking area where you can take in the views. The place used to be a busy port, so there’s still lots of fishing action going on. You can pick up some fresh catch right from the stalls at the harbour or along the main road in the village. And if you’re into mussels, you’re in for a treat – they’ve got the best around.
