Wellington Country Park is an award-winning destination for a family day out or overnight stay in the country. It is beautifully rural yet easily accessible. Each season brings a different experience where a family’s imagination can run free. Perfect for children up to 8 years old and spending family time together.

Activities

Enjoy the great outdoors with the family at Wellington Country Park. Boasting a 350-acre parkland offering a safe venue for all ages to have endless fun. Create unforgettable memories of toasting marshmallows on a BBQ, wearing pyjamas and wellies, taking teddy to feed the ducks, and even sleeping under the stars.

The park offers several adventure play areas, a toddler’s area, sandpits, slides, a miniature railway (at an additional cost of £1.50), an animal farm and petting barn (seasonal), a nature trail maze, an enchanted forest, water play, 12 holes of mini golf, and plenty of play equipment to keep kids busy.

In the woodlands, there are four nature trails to explore and spot the vast array of wildlife in their natural habitat. Families can even get up close and personal with the resident herd of Red and Fallow deer.

The beautiful lake is perfect for a family gathering, picnic, or BBQ. During the season, the park hosts over 50 special in-house events and fun days with exciting demonstrations and games for all the family to enjoy! Most events are free to join and held in the Park.

Food

There is an onsite café that offers hot meals, light bites, drinks, and snacks. They are open until 4.30 pm. You are also allowed to use a BBQ during your stay.

Accommodation

Premium Pitches

These are electric pitches that provide slightly more privacy than normal electric pitches and are ideal for caravans, campervans, motor homes, and trailer tents. Some are suitable for tents; see the map for pitches in blue. Pitches are only suitable for tents up to an 8 berth.

Non-Electric Pitches

These pitches are for tents only. Small camper vans, motorhomes, etc are not permitted on these pitches

The washing facilities are found in the middle of the Campsite and comprise of toilets, free showers, hot and cold water, electric shaving points, and hair driers (coin-operated). There is a launderette situated next to the facilities, with a washing machine, tumble drier, and an iron. Washer and Drier tokens can be purchased from either the Campsite Warden or Reception and the iron is coin-operated.

Also at the launderette campers will find a freezer to store ice blocks, a public telephone, and 13amp coin-operated plug sockets to charge electronic devices or to use hair straighteners.

Wellington Country Park’s campsite is not only an ideal destination for a holiday, but it also serves as a fantastic base providing easy access to nearby places of interest. Within a short drive, big towns such as Reading and Basingstoke offer shopping centers and restaurants. Families looking for more attractions, within 30 minutes of the country park will find The Living Rainforest, Coral Reef Water Park, Ascot Racecourse, Odiham Castle, Legoland, and Windsor Castle, amongst many others.
