This Georgian manor situated on the stunning Jurassic Coast is an ideal base for families. Guests can explore local activities such as fossil hunting and coastal walks, whilst enjoying the Verandah’s many family-friendly activities at the hotel. Families staying at this marvellous establishment will be delighted to know that the indoor swimming pool is available every day from 8 am to 8 pm with unisex changing facilities. Please note, swimming lessons take place during term time.
The treatments and relaxation room of the facility are situated in a separate building known as the Verandah. The spa offers a variety of treatments, ranging from soothing massages to re-energising facials, all of which incorporate Ishga’s seaweed-based products. Additionally, the spa caters to children aged 3 and above with a range of Little Ishga treatments.
The hotel offers all guests a complimentary 90-minute session per night’s stay, at the Ofsted-registered Four Bears Den Kids Club. The sessions are scheduled between 10 am and 3 pm. Children are supervised by a team of specialists and entertained with a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, dressing up, toys, and outdoor adventure. The best part is parents get to enjoy 90 minutes to themselves.
Head to the Verandah Activity hub where guests can enjoy soft play, arcade games, a climbing wall, a trampoline, air hockey, and more. Or head to Skittle Alley and have a bit of friendly family competition. On rainy days, guests can enjoy the cinema room, where daily film showings and popcorn will make all the family happy. There is even a science lab and crazy golf meaning the activities just keep coming at Moonfleet Manor.
The on-site restaurant serves light bites and family favourites from midday until 5 pm, including afternoon tea and weekly roasts with all the trimmings. In the evenings, customers can enjoy seasonal dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Families with young children are welcome, and the restaurant provides games, Bugaboo Giraffe highchairs, and a children’s menu that even the fussiest eaters will love. Pureed food is also available for little ones.
When visiting Dorset, one must experience the traditional afternoon tea. Guests can indulge in a variety of sweet and savoury treats, along with homemade scones served with jam and clotted cream. The establishment offers both adults and children menus. Even four-legged friends can join in with the Waggy Tails Tea, ensuring that every member of the group is taken care of.

As Moonfleet Manor is based on the Jurassic coast you are perfectly placed to do some fossil hunting. Beaches like Chesil Beach and Lyme Regis, offer the best chances for fossil spotting and are only a short drive away. The famous landmark of Durdle Door is also nearby and a must-see attraction.
Monkey World and Abbotsbury Swannery are also close by for some animal spotting. Or, head to Weymouth for a beautiful sandy beach with donkey rides and a little funfair.
