Activities

Set in beautiful countryside, Hollym Holiday Park offers plenty of outdoor space for the children to run around, explore, and burn off some energy. The fields surrounding the park are often visited by wildlife, perfect for little ones to get close up to nature. There is also an onsite playground including a slide and swings to keep young ones entertained. Even the family pet dog is welcome.

Food

Hollym Holiday Park is self-catering. The accommodations including the double-decker bus and Robins Retreat are both fully equipped with everything a family needs to prepare and cook a delicious meal. Just remember to bring your food or visit the local shops in nearby Withernsea. Then sit back, relax, and admire the surroundings whilst the family dines together. Barbeques are also welcome.

Or, fancy going out for a meal or drink? Then The Plough Inn Brew Pub is just a short walk away. Recently undergone refurbishment, this Brew Pub offers delicious homemade meals and quality ales. Families will enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and receive a warm welcome at this local pub.

Alternatively, pop into the traditional seaside resort of Withernsea just 2 miles away from the holiday park. Enjoy an ice cream by the sea or be spoilt for choices with many cafes, restaurants, and take-away establishments offering an array of delicious foods. Hollym Holiday Parks offers three accommodation options including a double-decker bus, a glamping unit, or tents and touring pitches.

All aboard! The double-decker bus known as Daisy is a fully renovated 1999 Dennis Trident double-decker bus. Sleeping up to 2 adults and 3 children, the bus boasts a stylish interior and eye-catching exterior. The bus is situated in an enclosed garden featuring a south-facing decked area and panoramic views of open fields and the sea from the upper deck. Kids have their own play area and picnic bench for outdoor snacks and evening BBQs. The lower deck houses the driver’s cab and a galley-style kitchen including essential appliances such as a sink, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster. The dining and living area retains the original bus seats for an authentic touch, along with amenities like a TV/DVD player, gas fire, electric wall heater, and a shower room with a sink. Upstairs, there is a toilet and a seating area perfect for children to engage in activities. The master bedroom features a double bed, dressing table, and hanging space for clothes. Towards the front of the bus is a second bedroom with three beds – one standard single and two caravan-style beds. Bedding and heating are provided in all bedrooms. Parents are responsible for ensuring safety onboard the bus and in the play areas and individuals under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.

Robins Retreat offers modern self-contained glamping accommodation for 2 adults and 2 small children. This cozy retreat provides all necessary amenities including an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a breakfast bar, and bar stools. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, a 2-ring electric hob, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, and cutlery. The dining area includes a sofa bed, a coffee table, a TV with free view, and a selection of books. There is a bright bedroom with a comfortable double bed. The spacious bathroom features a shower, toilet, and sink. Wall heaters are in all rooms. A travel cot is available for an additional fee. Outside, guests can relax in the peaceful south-facing garden with a bistro table and chairs, perfect for unwinding, enjoying an evening BBQ, or soaking up the sun. Parking is provided for one vehicle next to Robins Retreat. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.

Fancy sleeping outdoors? Then Hollym Holiday Park is a family-operated Camping & Caravan Club site. The park offers 12 generously sized pitches for caravans, motorhomes, or tents, as well as an additional 4 new hardstanding service pitches strategically placed to maximize exposure to the sun in the south. The park boasts a range of top-notch amenities, including a communal washing area equipped with a fridge, freezer, and microwave, as well as a toilet block featuring showers and facilities for changing babies. A fee of £1 is required for the use of the showers. It is important to note that the shower block may not be operational from December to February 28th.

Nearby

Just 2 miles from the holiday park lies Withernsea, a traditional seaside town boasting a charming promenade and beachfront. Dominating the landscape kids will love visiting the renowned lighthouse, standing 127 feet tall. The lighthouse houses the Lighthouse Museum featuring a tribute to Hollywood actress Kay Kendall.

Just 3 miles away children will enjoy exploring history at RAF Holmpton. An underground bunker that operated during the Cold War. Guided tours are available most days in the summer.

Fancy a bit of nature? Then 15 miles away is Spurn Point part of the Yorkshire Nature Triangle. Spurn Point belongs to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and is an iconic nature reserve with a natural breakwater between the North Sea and The Humber. It has been a shipping landmark for over 100 years.

Why not enjoy an immersive day out at the famous Deep Aquarium in Hull, only 19 miles away? Children will love spotting the sharks, rays, and penguins to name a few. Then pop into Hull Marina and the Fruit Market to enjoy the family-friendly bars, restaurants, and street entertainment in summer.
