Temple Newsam in Leeds will host West Yorkshire’s newest festive attraction: the immersive light trail called Northern Lights. After its sell-out success in Newcastle, this acclaimed event is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors for its debut in Leeds.
Set amidst the heritage gardens and picturesque woodlands of Temple Newsam, Northern Lights promises a spectacular journey through a variety of illuminations and unique musical compositions. Visitors can expect:
– Exclusive art installations and special effects created by leading UK lighting designers
– Interactive elements and festive photo opportunities
– A 90-minute trail featuring 14 distinct illuminated zones
– Vintage fairground rides, along with festive treats like mulled wine, hot chocolate, and toasted marshmallows
The approximately one-mile-long light trail will also include bespoke original compositions, enhancing the event into a multi-sensory experience. Visitors can explore the magical Christmas Village, which will feature a range of food and drink options from local artisan street food vendors and bars.
Additionally, the event will host two neuro-inclusive evenings, offering reduced capacity and lower audio volumes to ensure a comfortable experience for all attendees.
