Overview

Avon Heath Country Park features beautiful heathland and woods, offering endless outdoor entertainment for the entire family.

Things to do

Avon Heath Country Park is a great place to explore. You can walk or bike along the various trails to discover the amazing wildlife. The park has many rare species, such as sand lizards, smooth snakes, Dartford warblers, woodlarks, and the silver-studded blue butterfly. If you need help, the park rangers are always available to answer your questions and provide maps, activity trails, and event info.

Inside the visitor centre, you can check out the exciting displays, cameras, and interactive games introducing the park’s habitats and wildlife.

The play area is the perfect place for kids to have fun! It has zip wires, climbing walls, sand pits, a treehouse, giant insect climbing sculptures, a trampoline, and more. A green area is also great for ball games, frisbee, kite flying, and picnics. Plenty of picnic tables are located around the green and outside the café if you get hungry. You can even hire a barbeque and have a cookout! The play area is located near the café and visitor centre, and it’s only a short walk from the car park.

And there’s more! You can also play Pétanque on the court located beside the green. You can bring your own balls or rent some from the Visitor Centre. It’s a great way to spend time with family and friends.

Food & Drink

The Country Café, located in Avon Heath Country Park, is a family-owned business run by Tracy and her friendly team. Tracy’s goal is to source her products from local suppliers and artisan producers.

They have an expanding menu with many gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. The café provides indoor and outdoor seating facilities with a view of the green and play areas.

You can enjoy your food and drinks while sitting on the patio and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The café staff is happy to welcome dogs and even provides dog treats on request.
