With the Day Ticket, you’ll have access to six incredible attractions. Take a tour of Gough’s Cave, where you’ll be amazed by the stunning stalagmite and stalactite formations created over 500,000 years ago. You’ll even see cheddar cheese maturing in the caves and learn about the fascinating discovery of Cheddar Man’s 10,000-year-old skeleton.

If you want a multimedia experience, don’t miss Cox’s Cave, which features Dreamhunters. This incredible attraction will transport you back in time as you watch the story of early man unfold.

For a different kind of view, check out Beyond the View. This state-of-the-art attraction features a 270-degree screen where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Gorge and learn about the unique wildlife and plants that call it home.

If you’re interested in history, visit the Museum of Prehistory. Here, you’ll discover a range of unique artifacts that help tell the story of how people lived thousands of years ago in the Cheddar area.

For those who love a good hike, Jacob’s Ladder & The Lookout Tower offers a challenging 274-step climb to the top of the Gorge, with rest stops to admire the view. And if you’re up for a longer walk, try the 3-mile loop around the Gorge on the Cliff-Top Walk.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even try your hand at rock climbing or caving with Rocksport. And for those who love a good challenge, the Escape Rooms will put your brain to the test as you race against the clock to escape.

Cheddar Gorge and Caves offers a lot of experiences, so you may need to take a break and refuel yourself. Luckily, Gough’s Cafe is located close to Gough’s Cave entrance, where you can enjoy a range of options.

You can relax and enjoy the stunning views of the gorge while having a chilled or hot beverage or choose from a range of alcoholic drinks. Gough’sCafee serves light lunches, delicious snacks, cream teas, and cakes and has vegetarian and vegan options.

You can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the comfort of the air-conditioned or relax on the spacious patio area. The cafe is also dog-friendly, so you can bring your pets along, and there is even a welcome bowl of water for your furry friends.

Monday to Sunday: 10.00 am – 5.00 pm

The last entry to all Cheddar Gorge and Cave attractions is at 4:30 pm. During peak summer weekends, last entry is at 5:30 pm. The only exception is the Lookout Tower, which closes at dusk in winter.
