Overview

Take a walk in the Park, see giraffes, rhinos grazing on the manor house lawns, and lemurs, and ride Bella the Train (April-Oct).

Things to do

The Park is spread over 160 acres of beautiful parkland and is home to a diverse collection of animal species, many of which are endangered in the wild. The stunning gardens and themed borders are a beautiful backdrop for the animals. With over 260 species of animals in a vast parkland, visitors have plenty of space to relax and get closer to wildlife!

The Park boasts one of the largest reptile collections in the U.K., which includes crocodiles, lizards, frogs, snakes (such as green anacondas), and venomous snakes (including black mambas). Other indoor exhibits include the Insect House, Bat House, and Little Africa.

The Adventure playground, located near the restaurant and picnic lawns, is a popular attraction that features ‘Skymaze’ – a series of interconnecting treehouses with jungle bridges, slides, and climbing structures that offer a bird’s eye view of the Park from over 20 feet high! There is also a separate large tree house with a slide, adventure area, swings, and space net.

For younger visitors, ‘Mini Manor’ offers slides, interconnecting treehouses, a mini zip wire, and a sandpit. The spacious lawns and benches nearby provide adults with a place to relax, eat a picnic, and watch their children play.

The narrow-gauge railway, operational from April to October, weather permitting, runs from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The fare is £2.00 for adults, £1.00 for children, and under 3’s travel free of charge.

Food & Drink

The Oak Tree Restaurant, located at the back of the Manor House, offers a variety of hot meals, sandwiches, drinks, and cakes to the visitors of the Park. We make every effort to prepare all food from fresh, locally sourced ingredients in our kitchen.

Our child-friendly meals are served in smaller portions to cater to younger visitors, and we also offer bottle-warming facilities for infants. Refreshment kiosks sell hot drinks and ice cream near the Camels and opposite the Red Pandas. A kiosk is next to the Gift Shop that sells snacks, sweets, ice creams, and milkshakes. Please note that these kiosks are open only on busy days and during the peak season.

Furthermore, you can enjoy your picnic on one of the spacious lawns, which offer a scenic view of the enclosures for Rhinos, Zebras, and Giraffes. Alternatively, picnic shelters around the Park provide shade and shelter.
