If you’re searching for a unique castle or zoo, Dudley Zoo and Castle is the perfect destination for you. It’s a place where you can get up close and personal with some of the rarest animals in the world. In addition to being a zoo, the site also contains an ancient wooded hillside with the remains of the magnificent 11th-century Dudley Castle to explore.
If you’re looking for a fun-filled day out with your family, then Dudley Zoo in the West Midlands is the place to be. Here, you’ll get to see rare and endangered animals, such as Sumatran tigers, Asiatic lions, American Sea Lions, Asiatic bears, chimpanzees and many more. You can explore the Lemur Wood and Down on the Farm, and also attend daily talks and feeds with the animals. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to engage in Animal Experiences, where you can get up close and personal with lemurs, spider monkeys, giraffes, sea lions, tapirs, chimps, orangutans and big cats!
Apart from the zoo, you can also visit the castle and courtyard for ghost and history walks, open-air extravaganzas, children’s events and bird of prey displays.
There are various food outlets at Dudley Zoo – you won’t be far away from tasty treats. Head to The Oak Kitchen for a wide range of hearty and comforting British dishes, like fish and chips or the Brummie balti. There’s also a selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads and even vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
