Glen Gardens can be found in Filey, North Yorkshire. It’s a lovely little park built in the 1830s as part of Ravine Hall’s estate. During the summer months, there’s loads to do at the park, and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg either. The beach is just a short walk away, too. The south beach is sandy, and the tide doesn’t come in as far as the north beach. The perfect spot for a summer day!
The park offers great value for money in terms of things to do. The playground has several pieces of equipment suitable for children of various ages, and next to the cafĂ©, you’ll find lots of other things to keep them busy, like a 16-hole mini-golf. All of the holes are relatively short, and most of them have obstacles around which to manoeuvre. There are also some great electric coin-operated motorbikes for kids and a small man-made water area where you can rent a pedalo. The park also has trampolines for some bouncy fun. These attractions are typically open during the summer holidays and several other times throughout the year. Most of the park’s facilities open at 10 am, but some may open earlier depending on the crowd. And when all of this is done, potter down to the beach for some fossil hunting.
There is a cafe in the park that sells drinks, snacks, cakes and ice creams in the summer.
