Overview

Few places offer the enchantment of fairies, the allure of animals, and the untamed beauty of 20 acres of natural woodland. This unique attraction in North Wales is one of the country’s hidden gems. Visiting here is essential for anyone who appreciates animals, nature, the outdoors, trains, and fairies.

Things to do

Get ready to spend a full day at Gypsy Wood Park! As soon as you enter, you’ll find play areas for all ages, huge trampolines, a sand pit, and more. Don’t forget to book your train ride on the Gypsy Wood Express! This enchanting journey aboard Woody’s Train covers nearly three-quarters of a kilometre and is propelled by an eco-friendly electric motor. The train can accommodate up to 24 passengers and promises a delightful ride.

Visitors of all ages have always loved Gypsy Wood’s ‘G’ scale garden railway. This model train railway features a diverse collection of trains running on over half a kilometre of track, passing through bridges, tunnels, and a stunning garden environment. One of the highlights for kids aged 9 to 90 is the interactive play buttons that allow them to control the movements of Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends.

For the big kids and their little ones (4 years and over), there’s The Big Dig attraction with mini-diggers to test your skills on.

As you explore the park, you’ll find lots of different activities to keep everyone busy. Create enchanting melodies in the whimsical musical retreat, try magnetic fishing, visit the Fairy Princess, and take part in the duck races.

If you have animal lovers in the family, you’ll find a delightful array of animals living at the park, including ponies, alpacas, donkeys, goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and more. During the peak season, you can also participate in activities such as pig feeding and goat racing.

There’s plenty more to keep you and the children busy, ensuring they’ll be begging to come again!
