Hidcote is a popular 10.5-acre Arts and Crafts garden in the North Cotswold. It was designed by Major Lawrence Johnston, and visitors can explore intimate formal areas with new vistas and atmospheres at every turn.
Hidcote Manor Garden is an enchanting place with many surprises to discover. Your children will enjoy exploring the labyrinth of narrow pathways and secret gardens. Additionally, there are peaceful areas where you can relax on ornate benches and observe woodpeckers or listen to buzzards flying overhead. Keep an eye out for the rare hummingbird moth too – if you’re lucky, you might spot one!
If you’re looking for outdoor activities, you can play croquet or tennis on the new all-weather court. And if you’re unsure how to keep your kids entertained, don’t worry! You can get a free Hunter Pack from the reception. This pack includes fun activities such as map reading and insect spotting that your kids will love.
And one more thing! Be sure to check online for the free Family Learning workshops that are available. They’re a great way to learn new things and have fun with the whole family!
There is a café inside the garden with indoor and outdoor seating, selling drinks, cakes, and light lunches.
