Overview

You may recognize Jimmy Doherty’s farm from the BBC documentary. The farm is home to various animals, including ponies, donkeys, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, goats, geese, ducks, cows, pigs, and more.

Things to do

Visitors to the park can enjoy feeding the animals using the food bags that are available. Additionally, you can get up close to the animals through special animal encounters that take place on weekends and during school holidays.

The butterfly house is also a great attraction where you can see beautiful tropical butterflies fluttering gracefully around you. Afterward, you can take your family for a walk in the woods and head to the wooden playground. The playground has a bouncy pillow, a giant sandpit, climbing pyramids, bouncy animals, play vehicles, sports challenges, and a hobbit house. Your kids will definitely love the mix of adventure play, the great outdoors, and lots of animals!

At the end of the day, your children will feel tired and satisfied after spending a great day out with the family.

Food & Drink

Visitors to Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park have a variety of food and drink options available. The Barn Restaurant & Coffee House, located in a beautifully converted barn, offers a diverse menu of breakfast, lunch, and cakes. They have options to cater to dairy and gluten-free diets as well.

Guests can also indulge in freshly made tarts, sausage rolls, and cakes at the deli counter. The farm shop offers locally sourced biscuits and crisps to take home.

Visitors can take a break from exploring the park by visiting Hair of the Hog, located in the trees on the Woodland Walk. Alternatively, Sweet Treats by the Bouncy Pillow serves soft scoop ice cream, waffles, and drinks.

For those who want to enjoy a picnic, The Trough at the Rare Breeds Farm is the perfect place to get cookies, sausage rolls, and other picnic items. During the summer, visitors can also find a classic, vintage ice cream van behind the butterfly house.
