Overview

Discover this magnificent country home from the late Victorian period, featuring an exquisite garden and a vast wooded estate.

Things to do

Take a leisurely stroll along the charming cobbled streets of Cornwall to gather the ingredients for a delightful picnic. Once you have everything you need, head over to Lanhydrock for an al fresco dining experience. The location provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Fowey Valley and its stunning 900-acre landscape. The house itself is one of the most fascinating of the late 19th century and provides a sophisticated backdrop. From the kitchens and servants’ quarters to the dining room, the rare book collection in the Long Gallery, and the elegant bedrooms, the house is full of contrasts. You can enjoy strolls around the acres of parkland and woodland or let your kids burn off some energy at the adventure playground with its wobbly bridge and scramble nets. Dogs are allowed in the parkland and wider countryside, courtyard area, and cafés. However, only assistance dogs are allowed in the house, garden, and shop.

Food & Drink

If you’re feeling hungry after exploring the Lanhydrock estate, you can visit The Park Café for freshly-made meals and snacks. The café is open every day and located next to the visitor car park and cycle hire facilities, making it a convenient refuelling spot for visitors who want to explore the bike trails through the woodland. The Park Café offers a variety of delicious options to cater to your dietary requirements.
