Overview

Immerse yourself into Hampshire’s past at Milestones Museum. Walk around Victorian-style streets full of buildings big enough to explore or the cobbled streets of wartime Hampshire. Take your ration book into the sweet shop and eat as many sweets as wartime children were allowed to buy. With many fun events throughout the year, Milestones Museum is a fun, educational day out for the whole family.

Things to do

Stroll through Milestones and dive into the immersive streets where life-sized buildings, authentic shops, and vintage vehicles take you back in time. Hit up Abrahams, the 1940s sweet shop, and grab a ration of sweets. Are you feeling a bit parched? Head to The Baverstock Arms for a pint; there are a few days out with its pub.

But the fun doesn’t stop there – Milestones is a blast for all ages! Check out the Teddy Bear Museum, go to the penny arcade, and stroll along the boardwalk to soak in the history of piers and seaside scenes. Laugh it up with postcard-style photo ops and wacky mirrors that’ll make you feel like you’re at the seaside! Game on with vintage arcade fun – from claw grabbers and shove pennies to Pac-Man and table football.

And guess what? The fun continues with many activities and family events year-round, from the legendary indoor Christmas Market to school holiday shenanigans. For the history buffs, Milestones hooks you up with free audio guides featuring detailed commentary – it’s like time-travelling with your ears!
