Staunton Farm is a cute farm experience with all the farm animals you expect to encounter. You can even get close enough to stroke them and hand-feed them. With an outdoor and indoor playground and a tropical house to explore, Staunton Farm is a lovely family day out.
Grab a bag of animal feed from reception and head to the animal paddocks where you can hand feed the goats, sheep, deer, llamas, ducks and cows. Just make sure to wash your hands after, as they lick that food off your hands.
After feeding, you can walk around the rest of the farm and spot pigs, ponies, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chickens and even rhea’s.
When the kids want to run around, head to the large outdoor playground where they can climb, slide, swing, jump, bounce, and even drive a tractor. When you want to escape the weather, Staunton Farm has an indoor play area inside a barn, with a giant climbing frame and lots of thrilling slides to choose from.
You can also walk around the beautifully landscaped gardens and head into the tropical glasshouse with a huge pond full of fish at its centre. There is also a small maze for you to get lost in.
Head to the Farmhouse Cafe, where there are lots of hot and cold food options to choose from, like pastries, sausage rolls, soup and sandwiches. There is also a pick-and-mix lunchbox option for kids. You’ll also be able to grab hot and cold drinks, snacks, cakes, and ice cream here. The Farmhouse cafe has indoor seating and many picnic benches outside.
Staunton Farm welcomes picnics, and visitors are welcome to grab a picnic bench or find a nice spot on one of the many grassy areas.
