The Sea Life Trust Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a well-known charity specializing in rescuing and rehabilitating grey seal pups from the Cornish coastline. Every season, from September to March, the Sanctuary takes care of more than 70 seal pups rescued for various reasons, including malnourishment and separation from their mothers.
The Sanctuary also provides a permanent home for marine animals that require special care from our team of marine animal experts. When visiting the Sanctuary, you can get up close and personal with various wonderful marine animals and learn about their unique stories.

Every year, the Sanctuary rescues a significant number of seal pups. Visitors can witness the journey of these injured pups as they’re rescued from local coastal waters, rehabilitated, and eventually released back into the wild.
In addition to the Grey Seals and Common Seals, the Sanctuary provides a haven for other animals, such as sheep, goats, and beavers.
The Sanctuary’s expertise and facilities are sometimes called upon to assist in rescuing other marine creatures like dolphins and turtles.
There is a café that is currently open for takeaways. They serve a variety of hot and cold food options.
Open every day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, with last admission at 3:00 pm.
