Things to do

Wildwood is a fantastic destination that offers a great day out for people of all ages. You can explore a vast collection of British wildlife, past and present, in 40 acres of ancient woodland, where over 200 British animals live in natural enclosures.

As you wander along the winding trails through the picturesque ancient British woodland, you can observe a diverse range of animals, such as bears, wolves, otters, foxes, deer, badgers, lynx, beavers, wild cats, bison, squirrels, wild boar, reindeer, and many other animals that your children will love.

Apart from the wildlife experience, you can also enjoy an adventure play park, which features the tallest vertical drop slide in Kent, a zip wire, wild fort, twisting tube slide, pine marten towers, and a special area for children under five to play.

On weekends and during school holidays, you can attend close-up animal talks and feeds held by experts to learn more about the animals. Wildwood is a wildlife park and a unique conservation project that aims to protect native British wildlife and restore the original wildwood.

Food & Drink

The Woodland Cafe is next to a large play area, serving hot and cold meals, snacks, home-baked cakes, and beverages. You can cosy up by the log stove during the winter months. Don’t forget to check out the daily specials board.

If you’re interested in takeaway options, Twiggy’s is next to the cafe and offers a delightful range of Kelly’s ice cream and food and drinks.

Just a short distance from the cafe, opposite the Arctic fox walk-through, there is a pizza kiosk. Delicious pizzas are oven-baked in just a few minutes and are very popular! You can also enjoy cold drinks and ice cream from this kiosk.

There are ample seating areas throughout the park where you can enjoy a meal or snack or unwind and take in the beauty of the trees.
