Overview

The Winchester Science Centre is a large activity attraction that explores the principles of life, the universe, and everything. What sets it apart is its hands-on approach to learning. Children are actively encouraged to experiment and work together, and all of this is housed in a spectacular white pyramid!

Things to do

The Planetarium is one of the largest in the UK, offering visitors a chance to explore the depths of space. Their full-dome films provide a cinematic experience that takes viewers on an incredible journey through the cosmos. It is highly recommended not to miss their live science shows, which feature mind-boggling experiments that will leave you in awe.

The centre offers a range of exciting activities that will stimulate the senses. Visitors can test their brainpower by playing Mindball, a game where you move a ball using only your thoughts. They can take on engineering challenges in the Invention Studio or try their hand at wheelchair basketball. For those who are feeling adventurous, the Colon Café provides an opportunity to explore the human digestive system. Children will enjoy learning about the “yucky” parts, making it a win-win situation for everyone.
