Filey Beach is a stunning 5-mile-long golden sandy beach that earned the title of ‘Beach of the Year’ by the Sunday Times in 2018. The beach has a historical promenade with a Sculpture Trail and beach chalets. Close to the north, Filey Brigg features fantastic rock pools to explore and marks the start/end of the Cleveland Way Walk. Filey is also a popular destination for sailing, whether you’re participating, learning, or watching.

During the summer season, an RNLI-qualified lifeguard service patrols the beach. There is also a paddling pool located on the seafront, which is open from 1st May to 30th September.
