These self-contained units are ideal for adventure seekers looking to mountain bike, canoe or hike or those attending local festivals. Cantref also boasts Children’s Farm Park and Pony Trekking Centre, making it the perfect all-in-one location for your holiday.

Activities

The holiday lets are conveniently close to many outdoor activities, such as climbing, mountain biking, caving, and canoeing. These activities are just a short car ride from the cottages and mountain walks, and you can start bike rides right from the premises. If you’re into horse riding, the on-site Horse Riding Centre is the perfect place to stay. The centre has over 45 years of experience catering to beginners, novices, and experienced riders. They offer rides of different lengths to suit the whole family.

Families visiting the area will find the on-site children’s farm park to be an enjoyable experience. The park offers shows every half an hour during the day, such as Meet Blue the Dinosaur, Spirit the Unicorn, Meet the Animals, Tractor and Trailer Rides, and Pig Racing. The park offers outdoor play, such as a sledge ride, crazy golf, and a family swamp boat ride. Even if it’s raining, many indoor activities are available, including a huge heated indoor play area. Families camping at Cantref get free entry into the farm park when it’s open.

Food

The Farmhouse Café offers various lunchtime snacks, homemade specials, and delicious cakes. Customers can place their orders through the website to save time and avoid queues, so they can spend more time enjoying the farm with their children. During school holidays and weekends when the Farm Park is open, the Farm Park Café serves Breakfast Rolls from 8 am to 10 am. Children can have breakfast and enjoy early access to the indoor soft play area.

Moreover, during the summer holidays, guests can savour the taste of Wood Fired Pizza at the Farmhouse Café on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Accommodation

There are three cottages available for you to choose from. The first cottage has three bedrooms and can accommodate up to eight people. The second cottage has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to six people. The third cottage has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to four people.

All the cottages have been tastefully renovated and come equipped with wood-fired hot tubs. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor, and underfloor heating is throughout. The first floor has an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area with a high beamed ceiling.

The Hayloft is a single-story cottage. If you are on holiday with friends, you can book the adjoining Grain Store and Milking Parlour and have the interconnecting doors unlocked on the first floor to create a communal living area.

The cottages come with bed linen, electricity, towels, Wi-Fi, a television, a hairdryer, an iron, an ironing board, and an outdoor seating area with garden furniture. The kitchens have an electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, and kitchen utensils.

If you require travel cots and high chairs, they can be provided upon request.
