This family run site is perfect for escaping the day to day and getting the kids in touch with nature and off their devices. With only 5 tents, Lost in Nature, offers small-scale glamping in a pretty 9-acre woodland with all the little luxuries to make you feel at home.
Animal loving kids may get to meet the sheep and they are sure to see tractors and the farmers hard at work. There is a communal outdoor covered dining area and a ‘The Snug’ where you can relax around the log burning stove, play a board game or enjoy a complimentary glass of wine.
The old ‘sheep shed’ which contains a wood burning fire, large table, books, and bean bags for relaxing – is ideal for communal gathering and/or eating undercover.
There is a great range of pubs locally that, as well as offering some great beers, also offer fantastic food. The nearest pub is The White Horse in Stoke Albany. It’s a beautiful country walk away across rolling fields or a 2-minute drive in the car. They also have the Swan in Braybrooke which is 5 minutes away or The George in Ashley.
Each bell tent, (each with woodland animal names), has a king-sized bed, 2 single beds, a private veranda, firepit and luxury bedding, plus a rug, bedding, cushions, and throws, bedside lights, two beanbags, a hamper box containing: cutlery, plates, cups and cooking utensils. Inside the tent, you can charge your phone and you will also find a small fridge – ideal for storing a bottle of milk for that much-needed morning cuppa!
Each tent has electricity, a fridge, lighting, a table and chairs outside and a fire – pit/ BBQ for cooking and warmth. There are shared toilets, showers and washing up facilities for all.  There is also a communal campfire area if you would like to get to know your fellow campers over a cup of cocoa.
Get Lost in Nature is ideally situated on the Leicestershire/Northamptonshire border. There are loads of family friendly things to do within a 30 minute drive from the site. The beautiful town of Market Harborough is a 10 minute drive away with lots of small boutique shops and lovely eateries. For a day meeting the animals head to West Lodge Farm Park, which is just 10 minutes down the road. They also have some great indoor and outdoor play spaces. If you want to make the most of the outdoors then Rutland Water, 25 minutes away is a must. There are some beautiful walks as well as exciting water sport options available. The cobbled streets of Stamford, 35 minutes away, will not disappoint. Have a wander around the independent shopping boutiques, grab a coffee in one of the gorgeous cafes or take the kids to The Meadows to feed the ducks. While in Stamford, don’t forget to visit Burghley House and explore their exquisite grounds, which includes an amazing new play space.
You will really get lost in nature here on this beautiful, family friendly site. Ideally located to explore some beautiful towns and stunning open spaces, there is something for everyone. This is a small and intimate glamping option, with beautiful, luxurious tents.
