Situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, this location is perfect for exploring the Moors, the city of York, and also Whitby and Scarborough on the nearby Dinosaur Coast. With so much to do in the surrounding area, you can cater to different ages and tastes.

Keld Head Cottages are close to the nearby market town of Pickering. Where you’ll be able to find many pubs, restaurants and takeaways, as well as supermarkets and a swimming pool. With these amenities only a 5 minute drive away, it leaves you plenty of time to relax and unwind with the family. Also on your doorstep is the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway, and Pickering Castle, a classic 12th century motte-and-bailey castle.

Slightly further afield you have Dalby forest for bike paths and walking routes and GoApe for the more adventurous members of the family. There’s also stately homes, museums, theme parks, zoos, working farms, horse riding, fishing, and breweries to keep you busy.

The nine traditional stone cottages are set around a beautiful courtyard, surrounded by landscaped gardens. Providing a wonderful setting for a peaceful family break. With so much to do on site the kids will be entertained so you can also get to enjoy the break. There’s a large children’s play area, outdoor games equipment, giant jenga, sand pit, football and badminton nets, as well as a DVD library and board games library if the weather isn’t that great.

If you’re travelling as part of a larger group there’s a BBQ area with seating for up to 14 people. Also available to the guests are laundry facilities and outdoor clothes drying area, so you can go home with clean washing! For an additional cost you can request speciality catering for special occasions, and also a baby sitting service.

Keld Head Farm has nine well-equipped, cosy holiday cottages. Furnished to a high standard, they sleep groups of 2 – 8 people plus cots. Perfect for larger groups of family or friends to holiday together. A home from home, these spacious cottages offer everything you need for a relaxed family holiday. The kitchens are equipped with all the utensils and include a hob, oven, fridge, and freezer. Some of the cottages also have a washing machine or dishwasher. You can even get a supermarket shop delivered to save you from having to hunt out the local shop. Three of the cottages have their own private garden with furniture and a BBQ if you prefer to have your own space. With each cottage having a TV and DVD player, the kids can be entertained on the not so sunny days! Another bonus is that you can pack light as bedding is provided, as well as bath, hand and kitchen towels. Cleaning Products are also provided. Cots, highchairs and child safety equipment is all available upon request.
