The fourth-generation family-run farm in North Essex is located by the coast, providing guests with stunning “Big Sky” views of the magical marshes, river estuaries, and the countryside surrounding the farm. The farm offers a broad range of accommodations, ideal for families. Most properties are equipped with log-fired hot tubs, adding to the guests’ luxurious experience. The farm is dog-friendly and open to visitors throughout the year.
Visitors to the farm may see the resident dogs and ducks during their stay. The farm features two livery yards near the cottages, where privately owned horses and ponies graze in the surrounding paddocks or are trained in the ménage. If guests have their own fishing gear, they can visit the farm’s two reservoirs, located a short drive away from the glamping properties, for an additional cost.
In St Osyth, visitors can find The Red Lion, a dog-friendly pub with a grassy courtyard garden in the back. The bar area serves typical home-cooked pub food. The Kings Arms is another option for visitors who prefer good food but don’t need dog-friendly facilities. It’s recommended to call and book in advance if you plan to eat there. The Nisa shop, located 400m on the left from Lee Wick Lane, is well-stocked for anything visitors may have forgotten during the day until early evening. A larger NiSA in the village will also be open later. If visitors need a food shop, they can order it to be delivered to the cottages. Clacton is a 10-15 minute drive away and has supermarkets such as Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.
Each glamping pod has BBQ for outdoor dining, and the cottages have fully equipped kitchens.
