Lower Hyde Holiday Park is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a scenic location with plenty of outdoor activities to keep everyone entertained. This wooded park gives you double the fun as you can use all the facilities at the sister park, Landguard, meaning there’s plenty to do in the park.

Activities

There’s a fantastic outdoor pool and paddling pool with a thrilling waterslide and a small indoor heated splash pool. You can also use the pools at Lower Hyde’s sister site, Landguard, for your stay.

Head to the outdoor adventure playground and let the kids climb, slide, swing and jump while you grab a drink from the bar and sit in the sunshine.

Head to the kids club and let the kids join in with the full program of activities. Or pop over to the arcade and play the 2p pushers.

Lower Hyde has a range of bookable activities available throughout your stay, like slime workshops, sand art, aqua jets, aqua peddlers, and much more.

Food

Enjoy a satisfying family meal at The Barnhouse Bar & Restaurant. Excite your taste buds with something different daily – from delicious desserts, mouth-watering mains, tasty starters, and Costa Coffee for a refuel.

On days when you just want to get back to your accommodation, grab your food to go from the takeaway.

All accommodation includes a fully equipped kitchen so you can make tasty meals in the privacy of your holiday home. With an on-site shop providing all the essentials and supermarkets within easy driving distance of the park, you should be able to get hold of everything you need.

Accommodation

Lower Hyde Holiday Park offers different graded caravans and luxury lodges to suit all budgets and family sizes, with some caravans sleeping up to eight. All accommodations include a lounge/dining area, fully-equipped kitchens, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, central heating and T.V.s. Some higher-graded accommodations will have decking and outside furniture, and some lodges will have their own hot tub. Pet-friendly accommodation is also available so you can bring all the family.

If bringing your accommodation, you can stay on one of the many grass or hardstanding pitches on the camping field. Facilities include an awning space, drinking water taps, waste and water disposal, a shower and toilet block, disabled bathroom facilities, baby changing, fitted hairdryers, ice pack freezing, and a launderette.

The safari-style glamping tents at Lower Hyde Holiday Park offer the ultimate outdoor experience. Fully equipped with all the home comforts you’d expect, glamping at Lower Hyde adds a touch of luxury to the great outdoors. Sleeping up to six in two bedrooms and electricity and use of the shower and toilet facilities in the touring section.

Nearby

Your family can enjoy seaside fun at Lower Hyde, which has three seaside resorts nearby. The park sits on the outskirts of Shanklin, and its sun-bleached, golden sands are just a short stroll away. It has lovely Victorian beach huts, an arcade and lots of watersports.

To the south lies elegant Ventnor, with its mild microclimate, beach and subtropical gardens, while Sandown stands north. One of the island’s most popular seaside towns, it has many classic attractions, a fantastic pier, and a zoo where you can get up close to lions and tigers!

Head to Blackgang Chine and visit the U.K.’s oldest theme park. With plenty of rides and quirky attractions for the whole family to explore, this is a full day of family fun.

If dinosaurs are your thing, head to Compton Bay and discover the fossilised dinosaur footprints.

Visit the sandy beach of Sandown or head onto the pier for its huge arcade, indoor play area and crazy golf.

Lower Hyde is an excellent base for exploring the Isle Of Wight. With lots of local attractions within easy driving distance and lots of facilities and entertainment on-site, there is plenty to make sure your family have a holiday full of fun.
