Opened by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2016, the Estate Wing comprises 4 Deluxe rooms, 14 Superior rooms, and 10 Guestrooms. All Deluxe and Superior rooms boast stunning views of the golf course and countryside beyond. These spacious rooms epitomise luxury, with floor-to-ceiling panoramic views, king-sized beds, sofas, dining areas, and power showers. Two Deluxe Rooms feature a wall of windows on two sides, while the other two offer a balcony with a view. These rooms are also ideal for families.
Adjacent to the Manor House, the Stables offer 13 generously sized rooms, some with beams and all with fantastic bathrooms and contemporary Scottish interiors. With king-sized beds, these spacious rooms provide stunning Scottish interiors and beautiful bathrooms with baths and power showers. Tranquil and peaceful, the rooms are located across the courtyard from the hotel and can be twinned, making them perfect for families.
Situated at the beginning of the beautiful long driveway, Chain Lodge is an exclusive-use home with five gorgeous ensuite bedrooms for up to 10 guests. Each bedroom is named after a famous golf course. The lodge includes a lounge area with Netflix T.V., a fully integrated kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a dining room. A short walk up the drive lets guests enjoy everything the hotel offers. Chain Lodge is dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend.
Travellers who love exploring historic places can visit some fantastic castles near Meldrum House. Fyvie Castle, just 8 miles away, dates back to the 13th century and was once a royal stronghold. The castle’s oldest part still stands today and houses a great wheel staircase, considered the finest in Scotland. Another castle visitors can explore is Haddo House, which is near Tarves and owned by the National Trust for Scotland. Although it’s not a castle, it’s a fine example of a stately home and blends Georgian architecture with late Victorian interiors.
