Activities

There are a lot of fun activities that you can enjoy at Mena Farm. If you have older children, they will surely love the games barn, which is a great place for entertainment. You can challenge each other to a game of pool, ping-pong or air hockey, and if you just want to relax, you can hang out in the TV lounge. The games barn has a huge collection of books and games that will keep you occupied for hours on end.

If you prefer outdoor activities, then you can unleash your inner child in the play area. You can shoot some hoops, swing on the swings, slide down the slide and climb up the fort. And while you’re there, don’t forget to visit the chickens and pet the on-site pigs.

Mena Farm has a beautiful 15-acre land filled with meadows, ponds, and woodlands for you and your family to explore. For those who love fishing, the farm has a large, well-stocked fish pond that is the perfect spot to catch tiddlers.

Food

On the site, a well-stocked shop offers a wide range of food essentials, wine, and local beers. Fresh produce is also available during the Summer months. In addition, there are various local pop-up food and drink stalls that offer even more delicious treats.

Every Tuesday throughout the summer holidays, there is a weekly pizza night. Moreover, Dotty the Caravan Bar serves freshly made cocktails, chilli or curry bowls, followed by waffles. Dotty can be found at Mena every Saturday throughout the Summer and on Thursdays during school Summer holidays.

Dub Cafe is available from Friday to Monday mornings during the Summer. They make lovely hot drinks and serve fresh pastries from the barista van. Mena Farm has partnered with the award-winning Welcome Stranger Fish and Chip Restaurant in Lanivet to offer year-round fish and chips delivery on Mondays and Fridays.

And if that’s not enough, there’s also an award-winning pub on the doorstep. Lanivet Inn offers great food and surroundings. They’re very busy all year round, so booking ahead is always essential. The Lanivet Inn now also offer a takeaway service. Just ask reception for their menu and give them a call! They’ve also added a huge outdoor stretch tent with plenty of seating and gas heaters for chilly weather.

It’s also an easy drive to the 12th-Century Crown Inn, in Lanlivery for a traditional, country pub and large beer garden. Doggies are welcome in all these pubs, although they may restrict access to dining areas.

Accommodation

Introducing Poppy, Daisy, Bluebell, Primrose, Clover, and Buttercup – the superior bell tents at Mena Farm, each with a unique style. These tents are packed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You won’t need to bring an air bed or foot pump as they come with a double bed featuring a memory foam mattress, ensuring a great night’s sleep. There are also two single futon beds, perfect for a family of four.

Inside the tent, you’ll find all the necessary utensils for cooking, food preparation, and storage. While there is no electricity in the tents, you can rent Jackery solar panel arrays and power stations for lighting and gadget charging. The tent is equipped with a gas stove, a water carrier, a cool box, and ice packs, as well as cutlery and crockery. You’ll even have your own firepit to keep you warm.

The beds will be made up for you before your arrival, and parking is available right next to your bell tent.
