Nestled within the picturesque grounds of the historic Salmesbury Hall manor house, you will discover the charming and whimsical Shepherd’s Huts. These cosy huts provide a rustic and carefree lodging option, offering a unique and delightful alternative to a traditional hotel bedroom.
You’ll pretty much have the run of the grounds here, so there’s plenty of space for the kids to roam about and play games; there’s also an excellent Mayflower-themed wooden playground at their disposal. Smores kits, disposable barbecues, and fire logs are available at reception, open 9-5, seven days a week. Within the grounds is also a Golf Range and Crazy Golf (payable locally). The nearly 700-year-old Historic Hall is said to be one of the most haunted houses in England.
The Garden Room Eatery is renowned for its delectable breakfast options, delicious daytime meals, and delightful afternoon teas. The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering choices to cater to every palate. Meanwhile, Dottie’s Wafflery is a haven for those with a sweet tooth, offering an extensive selection of delectable sweet treats that satisfy any craving.
Luxury and rural style have been combined to create a leafy village of huts that are cool and airy in the summer and cosy in the winter. Oak beds with memory foam mattresses, en-suite shower rooms, central heating, soft towels, crisp fresh bedding and tea and coffee-making facilities are all provided, ensuring your stay is memorable and comfortable. Each hut can accommodate up to four people and are available throughout the year.
The Alpaca Experience is conveniently situated just across the road from the Hall, making it easily accessible for visitors. The picturesque Brockholes Nature Reserve is a mere 2 miles away, offering a tranquil escape into nature. Nearby, the delightful market town of Clitheroe beckons with its historic Castle and bustling market, all set against the backdrop of the famous Pendle Hill, renowned for its association with the Pendle Witches.
