Overview

Looking for a family-friendly adventure? Look no further than Secret Valley, where lush green and expansive glamping fields await your little explorers. With safety as a top priority, parents can relax while their children play to their heart’s content.

Activities

Spend some quality time with your loved ones surrounded by wide-open spaces that are just waiting for you to fill them with laughter, games, and gatherings of all sizes. Take a Farmer Johns Farm tour and explore the secrets behind Secret Valley. It’s a popular tour for both adults and children, where you’ll get to ride on an open trailer up the farm and take in the stunning scenery. From games and surprises to wine tasting with panoramic views at the highest peak of Secret Valley, there’s something for everyone.

Secret Valley is also home to Black Rock Outdoors, an established outdoor activity centre that utilises the incredible surroundings to provide a variety of activities, including High Ropes, Raft Building, Mountain Boarding, Water Zorbing, Kayaking, and Canoeing. Please note that prior booking is essential as each activity has varying minimum numbers of participants required to run. If that’s not enough excitement, families can also try their hand at Tag Archery, a child-friendly combat sport that combines the principles of paint-balling and archery with foam-tipped arrows. For a quieter moment, grab a rod and enjoy a spot of fishing at Secret Valley’s very own fishing lake.

Keep the kids busy at the play barn, which is an enclosed space where they can enjoy riding the mini tractors and playing ball games. For older kids, there are Pool Tables, Boules Pitch, Skittles Alley, Table Tennis, and Croquet.

Food

The newly converted barns are home to the fully fitted kitchen and dining room, where there is also a TV. There are also picnic tables on the patio, if you’d like to eat outside and get to know the other guests. High chairs can be provided for young children. You can also take food back to your Wigwam. Added bonus for the teenagers, there’s free Wi-Fi in the kitchens and dining room areas.

All glamping options come with a BBQ/fire pit for al fresco meals, and the Deluxe Lodge even has a full kitchen. Microwaves, fridges, kettles, and toasters can be found in all of the Shepard’s Huts, Wig-wams, and Lodges. Crockery and cutlery will need to come from your own camping equipment. But if you fancy a night off from cooking, there are plenty of options for eating out in the nearby area. And adults can enjoy samples of Secret Valley Wine in the wine tasting Summer House.

Nearby

Secret Valley is set in the southernmost foothills of Somerset’s Quantock Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. With the surrounding hills providing outstanding opportunities for hikers or bikers in search of deserted trails and the beautiful South West beaches just a short distance away, Secret Valley truly offers something for everyone.
