Gilly Vean Farm is a 26-acre Victorian dairy farm in beautiful West Cornwall. It offers four exclusive cottages that can accommodate up to 16 people. You can rent one or all four cottages and enjoy outdoor amenities like hot tubs, fire pits, and barbecues.
The cottages’ interiors are stunning, and you can treat yourself to cakes and ice cream daily from The Piggery. Additionally, guests can use the gym, enjoy spa treatments, and take advantage of dog and babysitting services.
Everything you need to relax in Cornwall is available on the farm. The property features 11 fields of lush pasture and wildflower meadows for guests. Each cottage has every luxury for a perfect holiday.
Upon arrival, guests can park their cars in the front field, away from the cottages. This helps to ensure a safe and car-free environment for children and animals to play in. The hosts will be available to help with luggage and tired children, using wheelbarrows if necessary. Well-behaved dogs are always welcome at the location.
During their stay, guests can enjoy several different fields. The playing field is mostly level, making it ideal for impromptu kickabouts. The picnic field has rugs and blankets for guests to enjoy a relaxing picnic with stunning views for miles. The dog-walking field is perfect for furry friends to stretch their legs.
Off the beaten track, the rural location provides endless open countryside views, offering guests true peace, fresh air, and tranquillity. Guests can stroll along the pathways through the long grass leading to the dog-walking and picnic fields.
The playfield is ideal for guests of all ages to let off steam. It features a mown football/rugby pitch, a goalpost for an impromptu match, and a picnic table for spectators. A short walk up the hill to the highest point of the land is worth it for the panoramic view! Guests could even pack a picnic lunch, morning coffee, or a chilled glass to enjoy watching the sunset.
Each cottage has all the amenities for a self-catering stay, including a hob, oven, grill, microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, cafetiere, and hot water on tap. The cottages also include a B.B.Q. for use during the warm summer evenings.
Stithians is the closest village, just one mile away by road. Alternatively, you can enjoy a pleasant half-hour walk from the gate using bridleways and footpaths. The village has a popular pub and a couple of convenience stores. Additionally, the local artisan bakery can provide delivery if you need fresh bread daily.
Don’t forget to stop by Stithians Lake, where you can visit the Wild Vibes Cafe and view the lake. You will receive a warm welcome and enjoy authentic Italian treats, making it the perfect place to relax. Fresh water is always available for your four-legged friends.
Each cottage features a generous, secure, private garden with a wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, and barbecue. You’ll also access the stunning communal courtyard, perfect for socialising with old and new friends. In case of bad weather, there are plenty of board games and puzzles to keep you entertained. The cottages offer self-catering with added luxury for a truly memorable holiday.
