Your kids will love exploring the grounds with a tree house and trampoline. And when you’re ready to hit the beach, take a short and scenic walk through the woods.
The Grove prides itself on using fresh produce straight from their backyard! The Grove’s fruit and vegetable gardens, glasshouse, and poly-tunnel provide the ingredients for their mouth-watering meals.
When it comes to dining options, you’re spoilt for choice! You can opt for the wood-panelled study or the original Georgian dining room, which is oozing with character and charm. But if you’re looking for something more laid-back, the new Sundown tapas restaurant is a must-visit! Housed in a giant tipi, this restaurant serves delicious Norfolk tapas, pizza, seafood, and ice cream – perfect for kids and adults!
The Grove offers six charming self-catering holiday cottages in Cromer that accommodate between two and six people. All the cottages are beautifully furnished and fully heated to provide guests a comfortable stay. Five of the cottages are dog-friendly and child-friendly, each featuring a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge area, exclusive dining facilities, and a digital T.V. and Wi-Fi. The rooms have ample, comfortable beds, crisp linens, and fresh towels. Cots and highchairs are available on request.
Pets are welcome at The Grove, and a charge of £10 per night applies. One of the cottages is pet-free for guests with allergies, and dogs are not allowed in the restaurants or B&B rooms.
Guests staying in the cottages can use all the on-site facilities, including the heated indoor pool, children’s facilities, and a delightful woodland walk leading to the award-winning Cromer beach.
The Stable cottage is a charming option that can sleep up to four people, with one double room, one twin-bedded room, and a bathroom upstairs. The open-plan living and dining area is separated from the kitchen by the original stable dividing wall, ensuring guests can still be part of the conversation with their family or friends while cooking. The kitchen has a washing machine, fridge-freezer, electric hob, oven, and microwave. The living room has Freeview television, DVD player, and Wi-Fi. Parking is available in front of The Stable.
The Barn is the largest cottage at The Grove and can accommodate up to six people. Initially, the central Barn served the estate and was converted in the 1980s. There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms upstairs, and a room with bunk beds downstairs. The Barn is open-plan and suits up to six people perfectly. Guests can park outside either entrance to The Barn. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven, and hob. The living room has a Freeview television, a DVD player, and Wi-Fi.
Mrs Page’s cottage is a ground-floor option with one twin or double room and one room with bunk beds. It is named after the lady who lived there for much of her life. Guests will find a stylish bathroom with a shower over the bath and a farmhouse kitchen with a gas cooker and hob, fridge-freezer, and washing machine. Mrs Page’s cottage has a spacious living room with beautiful beams. Guests will also find Freeview television, a DVD player, and Wi-Fi. Parking is available both at the rear and in front of the cottage.
Sheringham Park is just a 10-minute drive away and is famous for its vast collection of rhododendrons and azaleas. Visitors are encouraged to climb the towers in the park to experience the breathtaking views across the North Norfolk coast and surrounding landscape.
Head to Cromer Pier in the Spring for Folk on the Pier, which attracts a large audience from far and wide. It is one of the biggest folk festivals in the country. Cromer Art Space, located at the promenade’s west end, is open from April, showcasing local and regional talent.
There are lots to do for all the family, and just up the road, about 40 minutes away, Dinosaur Adventure is offering great days out for the little ones.
Festivals are also abundant in Spring. The Broads Outdoors Festival is an annual event, usually at the beginning of May and features around 100 events to help you enjoy all that is special about Britain’s Magical Waterland.
There are two National Trust properties close to Cromer. Felbrigg Hall is on the doorstep, which has lovely bluebell gardens in Spring, and Blickling Hall is about eight miles away, which hosts a World War Two museum, a historic book shop as well as the standard N.T. wonderful house, gardens, converted stable-tearoom etc…
