The Park Cornwall’s yurt village offers a unique glamping experience that provides families with a truly magical getaway.
Children can have a great time in the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, outdoor play areas or try to find The Park painted pebbles, which are hidden around the site. The on-site restaurant and pool bar offer plenty of options for food and drinks, while the sauna, steam room, or DVD Library collection can provide a relaxing break. During the school holidays, they host den-making, fire-lighting, foraging, and outdoor cooking workshops. The play areas are also perfect for kids to burn off some energy, including a secure toddlers’ play area, a conservation area, and even a giant trampoline. The Park has a heated outdoor pool opening from May Half Term until September. The alfresco poolside bar provides a relaxing atmosphere with refreshing drinks and far-reaching valley views, making guests feel like they’re on the French Riviera. There is also a new soft play area next to The Kitchen restaurant.

Two funky shepherd’s huts house a communal country-style cookhouse with full kitchen/dining facilities, including cupboards for storage, individual fridges for each yurt, a microwave, and a shared freezer. There is a fire pit and clay oven with a stunning backdrop for evening outdoor feasts or sundowners.
In this beautiful and secluded environment, guests wake up after a cosy night’s sleep in a comfortable bed with a log burner. The yurt village consists of four spacious yurts, each with underfloor heating, double-glazed windows, and full insulation. There is also a communal yurt that houses a log burner, DVD TV, and comfy seating.
Additionally, there are two funky shepherd’s huts that are home to the communal bathroom and WC facilities. A communal country-style cookhouse includes full kitchen and dining facilities, with cupboards for storage, individual fridges for each yurt, a microwave, and a shared freezer. For the convenience of the guests, there is a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
The yurts are beautifully furnished with trellised walls, wooden floors, and a log burner for added warmth. They comfortably sleep up to four people in real beds made up of crisp linen. For a truly indulgent experience, guests can unwind in the hot tub, fire pit, and clay oven area. This provides the perfect setting for a relaxing evening with family and friends.
There are several exciting places to visit near The Park. One of the most popular destinations is the world-famous Eden Project, which is located just a 35-minute drive away. Visitors can enjoy a range of experiences, including zip wires, adventure activities, discovery trails, and soft play areas.
Another popular attraction just a short 10-minute drive from The Park is Bedruthan Steps, a true Cornish highlight. The majestic and imposing cliffs offer breathtaking views even in bad weather, and there is a National Trust café at the top of the cliffs if visitors need shelter. Although accessing the beach is difficult, the beautiful golden sand and picture-postcard coves are worth the effort.
Lanhydrock, a late Victorian country house and estate, is located just a half-hour drive from The Park. It provides a unique opportunity to experience two sides of Victorian life, from “below stairs” to above.
The Screech Owl Wildlife Park is another popular destination. Located just 20 minutes away from The Park, this Cornish gem has won three awards at the Cornwall Tourism Awards. It provides care and rehabilitation for sick and injured wild owls in Cornwall and offers visitors the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with these amazing birds. The sanctuary offers owl handling sessions, close encounters, flying displays, and even falconry courses.
The Lappa Valley Steam Railway is a must-visit place for train enthusiasts. The mini railways will take visitors through beautiful scenery in the protected woodland, and children will love it. They will also have access to the leisure park, which includes a canoeing lake, crazy golf, nature trails, play areas, and pedal cars. The railway is just a 25-minute drive from The Park.
Finally, the Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay is a great place to visit with family and friends. It overlooks the Atlantic Sea and offers spectacular underwater views of reef fish, stingrays, turtles, and black-tip reef sharks.
