Activities

Thorness Bay boasts a beautiful beach located right on your doorstep. Take a stroll down the tree-lined path, swing on the tyre swing, and then find your perfect spot on the sunny shore. It’s a great place for paddling and shell hunting.

The park has a large outdoor playground that is packed with climbing frames, swings, slides, and a seasaw. Additionally, there is an outdoor games pitch where your family can enjoy a friendly game of football or basketball. There is also a small arcade with fun games, 2p pushers, and teddy grabbers.

Inside, there is a heated pool where you can enjoy a swim and have some fun on the water slide. For the little ones, there is a separate, shallower toddler pool.

Thorness Bay offers a wide range of bookable activities that include hoverboards, aqua jets, bike tots, battle blasters, slime workshops, Paw Patrol: Mighty Missons, archery, and much more.

In the evenings, there is plenty of entertainment to enjoy from live acts to character shows and kids’ disco.

Food

The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant, with its stunning views of the Solent, offers a memorable dining experience to all its visitors. The customers can enjoy the passing ships while indulging in the great selection of tasty snacks and classic favourites that the restaurant has to offer. The restaurant also has a Fish ‘n’ Chip Shop that provides the taste of the seaside with lashings of salt and vinegar. All dishes are also available for takeout, making it a perfect option for foodies on the go.

The entertainment venue has its own bar for hot and cold drinks and snacks to enjoy while watching the delights on stage.

If staying in a caravan, it will have its very own fully-equipped kitchen so you can dine in, to your heart’s content. With a well-stocked shop on-site, you’ll find everything you need to feed the whole family.

Accommodation

Thorness Bay offers a range of chalets, lodges, and caravans to suit families of different sizes and budgets. The caravans can accommodate up to 8 people, making them an excellent choice for larger families. Each accommodation features a fully-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, a lounge/dining room, central heating, and a flat-screen TV. Some accommodations are pet-friendly, and the higher-graded ones come with outside decking and even a hot tub.

You can experience the excitement of camping while enjoying the comfort of a safari tent at Thorness Bay’s glamping tents. Unlike traditional camping beds, these unique safari tents come with proper beds and a sofa bed, sleeping up to 6 people.
