Three Gates Farm comprises of five 17th-century self-catering cottages that are situated in the stunning East Devon countryside. These well-appointed farm cottages range from cosy one-bed cottages to those that can comfortably accommodate six people.

For kids, there’s a play area with swings, slides, trapezes, seesaws, trampolines, table tennis, and a small pool table. On sunny days, there’s a grassy area where you can enjoy outdoor games, as well as a selection of puzzles, preschool books, and toys that you can borrow.

If you’re looking for a full farm experience, you can help feed the friendly chickens and enjoy their freshly laid eggs. The farm is also home to chickens, ducks, and moorhens that you can spot around the pond area. Three Gates Farm provides three 4-star cottages that can comfortably accommodate up to 22 people. Each cottage is equipped with all the necessary amenities, including cots, highchairs, buggies, bath seats, and even potties, which can be borrowed to make your stay more relaxed and hassle-free.

The Smithy cottage can sleep up to 6 people, The Long Barn can sleep 5 or 6 people, The Granary can sleep 4 people, and May Cottage can also accommodate four people. These cottages are perfect for families and offer all the facilities required for a comfortable stay. From central heating to dishwashers, flat-screen TVs to DVD players, and free WiFi, guests will have everything they need.

The farm buildings have been beautifully converted while retaining many original features such as timbers and stonework. If it happens to rain or you cannot visit the beach, don’t worry. There are still plenty of activities to keep your little ones entertained during your stay at Three Gates Farm. The Devon Railway Centre is just 25 minutes away and is perfect for young families. It offers miniature trains to ride on, model railways, crazy golf, remote control cars, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, and a picnic area.

If you’re looking for some outdoor adventure and want to burn off some energy, the Bear Trail is an outdoor children’s adventure trail and family assault course, located approximately 30 minutes away. Children and the young at heart can run, jump and climb over obstacles and unlimited mud.
