Tregulland Cottage and Barn is a luxurious holiday retreat in the heart of Cornwall, nestled in a remote valley near Bodmin Moor. It’s surrounded by a nature reserve, the Inny River, and a private carp-filled fishing lake; this estate offers a luxury, eco-friendly experience like no other. Visitors can indulge in a heated indoor freshwater pool, a steam room, an outdoor wood-fired hot tub, a cinema, a playground, and 16 acres of picturesque grounds. It’s the perfect location to celebrate any special occasion.

Activities

This stunning property offers a range of amenities, including Britain’s first heated indoor freshwater pool, which provides a unique swimming experience in an atmospheric setting. The pool is filled with pure Cornish spring water and has a comfortable temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. Guests can swim in the 1.2 metre-deep main pool, while a separate shallow pool is available for children to splash around in.

The pool area is a feast for the senses, with underwater lights, backlit planting, and slate-lined walls creating a serene and calming environment. On sunny days, the sunlight creates a magical wave pattern on the back wall as it bounces off the water, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy a rejuvenating soak in the six-person steam room or dip in the wood-fired Dutch tub outside.

Tregulland offers a range of activities for guests to enjoy beyond the pool area. The property’s 16-acre private grounds include a fully stocked fishing lake and woodland, where guests can spot various wildlife, such as otters, badgers, and kestrels. Children will love the giant slide into the playground, which also features swings, a mini climbing wall, and a Cornish pirate boat. For those seeking relaxation, plenty of outdoor eating and seating areas are around the property, where guests can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

The Games Room boasts a full-size ping pong table that is available unless requested otherwise. The room also has giant indoor & outdoor beanbags in signature orange, perfect for relaxing between games. Additionally, oversized indoor and outdoor games such as giant dominoes, giant Jenga, Croquet, and cricket are available for entertainment. These classic games are perfect for entertaining children of all ages, regardless of weather conditions.
