Choose between two comfortable self-catering cottages located in a serene countryside setting, offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding area. Just three miles away, you can explore the stunning coastline, ideal for leisurely walks and unwinding on the secure sandy beaches. This location offers the perfect blend of both worlds!
On site you’ll find a fun-filled adventure on the farm nature trail and guided tour! Explore the beauty of nature as they show you around the farm and teach you all about the plants and animals that call it home.
As this is a working farm, you’re also able to ask for a milk demonstration or even feed the calves!
Both Rose Cottage and Mayflower Cottage are self catering, so you’re able to stick to usual routines without too much disruption to your little ones. You’ll find everything you need to cook scrumptious home made meals within the fully equipped kitchens, why not take advantage of the dining areas together with a beautiful wood burner in Rose Cottage?
Why not pop into the Co-op shop at Texaco Garage, just a short 200 yards from the farm entrance? And don’t worry if you need to do a bigger shop – you’ve got plenty of options in the nearby towns of Truro or St Austell like Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco, Aldi, and Waitrose. Plus, most of them offer delivery services in this area. Happy shopping!
If you don’t fancy cooking, you’ll find a wide range of family friendly pubs in the area, such as The Kings Arms Tregony, who pride ourselves on serving the best St Austell Ales and good, home-cooked food.
During your stay you don’t want to miss the Da Bara Cafe, Ruan High Lanes for a delicious pastry, bread, or any sweet treat you desire.
Here you’ll be greeted with a choice of two cottages, ‘Rose Cottage’ and ‘Mayflower Cottage’.
First up is Rose Cottage. This cozy little abode boasts 3 charming bedrooms and a lovely garden with a patio, perfect for relaxing with friends and family. With the capacity to sleep up to 6 people, you’ll find a comfortable Double Bedroom, a quaint Twin Bedroom, and a fun Double Bunk Bedroom (complete with a 3 ft wide bunk bed).
You’ll have access to a convenient shower room/wc and a separate wc for added privacy. If you’re traveling with little ones, don’t worry – there’s a Cot and Highchair available for your use.
The beamed kitchen features beautiful oak units and comes equipped with a dishwasher, electric cooker, fridge, freezer, and microwave – making meal prep a breeze. Plus, our spacious dining/living room is a perfect gathering spot, complete with a woodburner to keep you warm and cozy on chilly evenings. Dogs are welcome between September and February.
Second is Mayflower Cottage. This self catering holiday cottage is the perfect retreat for up to 3 guests, perfect for those smaller families.
This charming space features one bedroom with its own ensuite shower and wc. You’ll sleep like royalty in the 4 poster double bed or on the comfy single bed. Need an extra bedroom during the cooler months? Just let them know and they can make arrangements for you. They also have a cot and highchair available for our little guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, and microwave for your convenience. Relax and unwind in the lounge/diner, complete with electric heating to keep you warm. And don’t forget about the convenient downstairs W.C. for added comfort during your stay. Please note dogs aren’t permitted in Mayflower Cottage.
If you’re looking for a day out, look no further than Pendower which is the nearest beach.
Fancy a boat ride during your stay? Why not take a boat trip/ferry to really explore the area. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can even hire Kayaks and organise a fishing trip!
Just a short hop away, you’ll stumble upon Trelissick, a charming National Trust gem! This lovely house and garden are nestled in an estate with breathtaking views of the sea and picturesque woodland trails waiting to be explored. Come and enjoy the beauty! It’s also worth taking a look at what events they have on during your stay.
A bit further afield you’ll find the Eden Project, where you can find out all about making our world environmentally friendly, a great day out for children and adults alike.
